A Young Man’s Passion to Succeed
Raised as a 5th generation farmer in Ellington CT, Nate Bahler knew from a very young age the value of hard work, being honest and keeping commitments.
He started a car detailing business and fence installation company in High School, then in 2007 with his cousin Tom Gerber, founded Green Meadow Lawncare, LLC.
In 2015, Nate’s cousin Tom left the business to pursue a career in Engineering and sold half of his shares to his brother Brian Gerber (who has worked for Nate since his early teens) and the other half to Nate.
With an emphasis on customer service first, Nate and Brian have grown Green Meadow from 219 customers in 2015 to 2,527 customers at the end of 2022.
Pictured above is Brian & Nate with Brian’s Mom & Nate’s Aunt, Carole. She has been with Green Meadow from the start and is currently our Office Manager. Her guidance & strong work ethic has played a key role in the success of Green Meadow.
The Future of Green Meadow:
Nate and Brian, with a great deal of thought, would then hire key personnel to support and grow their vision of Green Meadow. In 2016, they hired their first Lawn Specialist, a now 25-year industry veteran, Matt Middleton. In 2018, they hired Customer Service Manager, Dave Schwarm. He is now a 33-year industry veteran brought on to grow the company’s customer base and reputation for superior customer service. In 2020 they then hired Alyssa Dombroski as our Content Manager to create a one of a kind Local Lawncare Digital Experience for our existing and future customers. They continue to hire amazing Lawn Specialists and are very proud of the decades of experience the team has amassed.
In the Winter of 2022/23, Dave S. & Brian are headed to Florida for the Annual Real Green Systems User Conference. There they will continue to learn advanced communication & industry specific skills. Nate will be home enjoying quality time with his new baby boy.
