how we measure your lawn - and why it matters

Every lawn is unique, which is why we evaluate your lawn in person and don’t rely on satellite imagery which can be deceptive.

This in-person approach ensures accurate measurements and proper care—avoiding the risks of over or under treatment that can come from remote measuring.

  • Under-measuring your lawn can lead to:

    • Under served - not enough fertilizer, weed, or pest control. Your price might seem better but your results will not be.

    • Service: Franchise lawn companies set daily square footage quotas for their techs. If your lawn is actually 40,000 sq. ft. but only measured as 20,000, the tech may feel pressured to rush through the job—leading to rushed service and poor results.

  • Over-measuring your lawn can result in:

    • Overpaying for services - who wants to pay more?

    • Fertilizer burn - using too much product can damage your lawn.

Accurate measurements ensure the care your lawn deserves.

what’s included in your lawn care program?

  • This includes TTRU slow release in services 1 & 2 for faster spring green up and controlled nutrient release as well as Humic Acid in service 5 for dark fall color and a Spring green up boost.

  • Ammonium sulfate provides your lawn with a strong source of nitrogen to begin the season with and ensure a faster Spring green-up.

  • Golf courses use 2 applications - this spreads out applications to be softer on roots and last longer into summer.

  • Many companies charge extra for these applications - we include them in your program for no extra charge.

  • We include free insect control in services 3 and 4 to prevent damage from chinch bugs, sod webworm, billbugs, cutworms, etc..

  • Do you need a concern of yours looked at? We offer no charge service calls and consultations.

  • In New England, we tend to have a lower soil pH. Lime increases pH and improves nutrient availability. In acidic soil, many nutrients are inaccessible

  • Organic matter provides your lawn with micro nutrients that act naturally to improve your soil quality.

  • Humic acid is a natural supplement that treats your soil by allowing the already available nutrients in your soil to be accessed by plants. This essentially allows your plants to do less work to get the nutrients they need.

Humic acid is comprised of liquid peat.  It does not fall under the micronutrient or macro nutrient category but is considered a supplement.

  • We operate with 15 licensed lawn technicians. Each technician has a designated service area for the entire season so you will have the same tech working with your lawn through the season.

how did we improve your value in 2025?

  • Upgraded Products

In 2025, we enhanced Service 1 and 2 with a blue polymer-coated fertilizer that extends nutrient release by 15 days (from 45 to 60). We also added organic fertilizer for long-lasting results and ammonium sulfate for a quick, powerful green-up.

Over the past five years, we've improved other services too:

    - Service 3 & 4 now includes free surface insect control.

    - Service 5 includes Humic acid to help maintain color and keep your lawn green through winter.

  • Readily Available Support

In 2025, we expanded our team to enhance your experience.

Art Staples joined as Operations Manager to keep things running smoothly, and Jen Basto joined our office staff—bringing us to four full-time experts ready to assist you with fast and friendly service.

  • Every lawn is unique, which is why we don’t rely on satellite estimates.
